Summary: The bill increases the amount of parent, adoption, and postpartum recovery leave for state employees and school district or charter school employees. Parent leave is up to 3 weeks. Postpartum recovery leave is an additional 6 weeks (total of 9 weeks), adoption leave is up to 9 weeks, and foster leave up to 3 weeks.&nbsp;

David's Take: This bill only applies to state and LEA employees, but it also could signal support for additional paid leave for employees. It will be interesting to see the fiscal note and if there is room for this bill within the budget. I am personally in favor or supporting parents, and the balancing needs of providing labor to complete tasks at work.&nbsp;
